oil on canvas, 36 x 48"

Artist Statement

Born in Vancouver, Canada, in 1965, Tim Fraser has drawn since childhood, painted since 1981, and has paintings in private and corporate collections around the world. As influences of his work, he credits Vancouver artists Ron McFadyen and Will Rafuse "for their explorations of light and colour, and as examples of the daily dedication needed to make painters into artists."

Inspired by regular visits to Vancouver's Stanley Park, his recent paintings explore lights effect on colours, and its ability to add silent drama to a quiet subject matter.
