Artist Statement Previously I used to paint impressionistic, abstract or realistic images. Some of my past works were surrealistic style combined black and white realistic figure on to colored abstract background. Recently I have been painting semi-abstract images. Some of my works begin as representative images and evolve into semi-abstract images. I paint using oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor — I find being able to use various medium gives me more freedom in expression to respond to my inspiration.
I enjoy experimenting to find unique ways of expressing my inner feeling without losing faith to the subject matter. Playing light and shadow with spontaneity and splitting shape and color into small segment, I create sense of drama and add visual excitement to the images. At this stage I am thrilled and excited about creative art processing that takes me to an unknown destination, and I find that is the one of the best parts in my joy of being an artist.
