Becoming Legendary

 

   “My interest in watercolour has been my passion for the past 15 years. Through my art I capture the extraordinary; both unusual and beautiful that surrounds me. My love of pure colour and bold application of vibrant hue injected into the landscape are exciting and unique.”

Artist's Biography

Eleanor is a member of the Alberta Society of Artists, the Calgary Artists Society, an active member in the Federation of Canadian Artists and a co-operative member of the Centennial Art Gallery in Calgary. As well, she is a signature member of the Toronto Watercolour Society, and until moving to Calgary in January 2000 was a member of the TWS executive, as well as publicity chairman.

Eleanor currently teaches a drawing class at the University of Calgary in the continuing education department, and a watercolour class through Chinook College.

She studied graphic design as a concurrent student at the University of California - San Diego, fine arts at The University of Western Ontario, The Ontario College of Art and The Alberta College of Art.

Eleanor’s paintings have received numerous awards and she has displayed her work in many juried and non-juried shows. In addition she has had several shows both solo and combined with other artists.

Her work hangs in both private and corporate collections.
