Painting is a most engaging artform. As an artist, I strive to be conscientious enough to incessantly experiment in order to expand the limits of dexterity and technique; the rewards invariably outweigh the disappointments.

I envisage new challenges within my own individual capabilities as well as a new vision as I travel through life.

My aesthetic principles are to maintain a balance between control and chaos, between intellect and intuition.

Painting informs me of who I am; a path of self-discovery. Each work is a direct expression of my interior life at a single moment.

Abstraction is not finite and my interpretation is therefore flexible. Preferring large scale, I consistently focus on colour and texture as a conduit for my emotive self. I improvise the resolution of each work which is the transference of an idea to the materials.

Art is the bridge or my connection to others. The real work is to discover the creative source found from observing and hopefully produce works that speak to the viewer.
