Born and raised in Calgary, Rose Zivot has enjoyed a distinguished career as an artist, for over two decades. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta, and then continued with her graduate studies at the University of Washington. Generally inspired by the qualities of pastel, Rose began to explore her own affinity for that medium. She discovered that pastels are spontaneous and brilliant, unrivaled for painting flowers, still life and also the human figure. Rose's paintings are recognized for their exceptional detail, intense colour and play of light.
