JACK CAMPBELL, SFCA Specializing in watercolour and acrylic painting, as well as paper sculpture works, JACK CAMPBELL, SFCA works as a full-time artist, as well as teaching drawing and painting at the Emily Carr College of Art Outreach Program. Campbell is intrigued with shapes, stressing their importance as key elements of design and the viewer will be taken by his batique-like textures. He refers to his approach to designing as "exploring with shapes of colour". Born and raised in New Westminster, B.C., Campbell has been a painter and graphic designer since graduating as an honour student from the Vancouver School of Art & Design in 1952. In addition to teaching at the Kootenay School of Art in Nelson, B.C., the artist has had in excess of twenty-three "one-man" exhibitions in B.C. of his figure drawings, paintings and paper sculptures. Campbells work is enjoyed in private and corporate collections internationally. |
