JEANE DUFFEY, SFCA, (HON.) RI, is a past president of the FCA who donated hundreds of hours of volunteer work on behalf of artists over her lifetime.

English-born Duffey attended the Epsom and Wimbleton Schools of Art. She taught textile printing and design at Yately Hall and Farnborough Hill Colleges before emigrating to Canada in 1981, quickly becoming a FCA signature member. She also held an honourary full membership in the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours. Duffey’s subject matter is varied, but she particularly enjoyed portrait commissions. Apart from her original paintings in watercolour, acrylic and gouache to be found around the world, Duffey’s work is distributed in limited edition or reproductions in more than 45 countries. Duffey was the Canadian Editor of International Artist Magazine.

Jeane Duffey died December 1, 2007 at the age of 81.
