LAW WAI HIN, SFCA, NWWS paints beyond the edge of excellence each time he meditatively applies his brush to water, paint and paper. Whether depicting a single flower in a simple vase, a cityscape or a scene of boats moored at the edge of a river of glass, the artist’s genius for colour and form draws the viewer in. There is a quiet reverent formality to even his most ethereal art- works. His elegant watercolour paintings capture the rare qualities of serenity and refinement, yet show the strong and sensitive hand of a master. Law’s palette ranges from delicate, almost invisible tints to unmatched depths of unique and sophisticated pigments. He graduated from the Hong Kong Academy of Fine Arts, and studied under other eminent artists. Law’s work was widely accepted in Asia, Europe and North America before he emigrated to Coquitlam, B.C. His paintings are in two Hong Kong hotels and he has been featured on the cover of Reader’s Digest.
