LOREENA LEE , AFCA

Loreena was born in Edmonton, Alberta and has lived on the West Coast since coming to British Columbia at a very early age.

Although portraiture is her favorite, Loreena's paintings encompass all subjects. She currently works in watercolor and acrylics; however she is equally familiar with oils, pastels and pencil. Since 1973, Loreena has had yearly exhibitions, and has many awards. She instructs in all media and has conducted classes in adult education, private tutoring and seminars for the past 31 years. Her drawing courses are always a favorite. She is a Signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.

For four years, Loreena owned her own business, an artists' materials and frame shop and also an art gallery, but found the business world too restricting and so has returned to her first love, the world of fine art.

Current work can be seen in her home studio and the Gallery at the Springs in Banff, Alberta. Her works are in collections across Canada and the United States as well as England, Denmark, Hungary and Germany.

Her book, entitled "Drawing; the Theory of Relativity", is in its third printing. She has produced instructional videos called "Finding Negative Space" and "Sea & Snow: Techniques in Watercolor". She resides in Cloverdale, BC.
