PHYLLIS LJUDEN-ELDERKIN, SFCA, CSPWC, ASA PHYLLIS LJUDEN-ELDERKIN, SFCA, CSPWC, ASA grew up in small towns of Western Canada. Her interest in art flourished in a home where her mother and siblings also painted. In 1988 she left a career in broadcasting to paint full-time and she has never looked back. In a very short time she has gathered numerous awards and signature status with the FCA, Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colours and the Alberta Society of Artists, as well as Associate of California’s Watercolor West. Ljuden-Elderkin’s paintings have been selected for calendars and magazines and her work has been showcased in three televison productions, the Calgary Stampede and a children’s book, "My Trip to the Rodeo". Her love of sunshine and shadow is evident in the dramatically detailed realistic works she paints in watercolour or acrylic. She is represented by numerous galleries and her paintings are enjoyed worldwide. |
