GEORGE MCLACHLAN, SFCA After early training at the Vancouver School of Art and the Chicago Academy of Fine Art. GEORGE MCLACHLAN, SFCA began his career in illustration and design, then taught at both Douglas and Capilano Colleges in the Vancouver area. His love of fine art paralleled his career and he was successful in having his paintings selected and hung in The Vancouver Art Gallery where the Federation of Canadian Artists held their annual shows some forty years ago. His work encompasses a wide variety of subjects and he usually lets the subject dictate the painting procedure, whether it be watercolour, acrylic or oil. His art reflects a fine sense of colour, design and composition. McLachlan has lived in North Vancouver, B.C. for over thirty years. He is represented in international collections and his exhibitions are so popular that they have been near "sell-outs" in one day. |
