PAM WEBER , AFCA

As far back as I can remember I have always communicated through drawing. The mediums ranged from crayons, chalk, to the pencil doodles in my notebook margins during math class. University introduced me new a whole new medium: printmaking. I became passionate about intaglio, serigraphy and lithography. But today my studio table is covered with pots of richly coloured acrylic paints.

My images tend to be reality-based, though I do have a few imaginary characters that appear every so often, like old friends. Peaceful landscapes, colourful streetscapes, inviting interiors, and chairs with personality dominate my canvas. My paintings tell a story, each narrative unique to the beholder. The work is devoid of any angst. It possesses and overall harmony: simple, appealing shapes; calmness of space; vibrant colour and sometimes a touch of whimsy.
