"Reflecting upon my childhood years on the prairies, with it's vast and lonely landscape, I still feel connected with that environment which I had translated into my first drawings. -- The creative spirit spoke to me in those years in a very small voice which never ceased to grow as time passed. It demanded greater expression over the years but I refused to hear it clearly until my children left the nest. --   The desire to capture the life force in all my paintings has become my main focus and I hope they speak to people at a very deep emotional level."
