| MARILYN
TIMMS, SFCA
From the time she filled her grade five science notebook with pencil drawings (in London, Ontario) to attending the Vancouver School of Art, MARILYN TIMMS, SFCA loved art and concentrated on sharpening her drawing skills before venturing into using paint and colour. With her fresh approach, rich colours and technical expertise, Timms often explores the excitement of combining ink with watercolour to create rich tapestries of landscape, floral and marine scenes. The nude form done with conte crayons as well as more conventional watercolours and oils round out her fine art work. Timms and her husband are ardent sailors and enjoy life in the Comox Valley of Vancouver Island, sailing and painting. Primarily self-taught, Timms has worked her way to winning many awards and, as a result, has become a very popular art instructor throughout Canada and the U.S.A. She earned FCA senior signature status in 1993. |
