DAVID WHITE, SFCA
English-born watercolorist DAVID WHITE, SFCA lived and worked in Vancouver as an artist as well as an architect. Before permanently moving to the Bahamas, he concentrated on West Coast marine waterscapes and boating scenes. He also enjoyed painting murals, one of which can still be seen at the town that loves murals, Chemainus, B.C. White served as president of the FCA during the highly acclaimed international exchange exhibition with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour (RI) in 1986/87 (including a painting by HRH, Prince Charles). Subsequently, he organized professional painting trips to the Caribbean. To the envy of all, Whites lifestyle allows him to paint "on location" in the warm lush tropics. (Note: David is the only past president who received two official going-away parties: the richly decorated cake was not served at the first one - it was frozen, then enjoyed during the second celebration three years later!) |
