2023 Federation Retreat - Flying U Ranch at 70 Mile House
Dates: Sunday, September 17th - Friday, September 22nd
The Federation Retreat is the largest educational and social event of the year, hosted by the Federation of Canadian Artists.
The 2023 Retreat takes place at the Flying U Ranch at 70 Mile House, British Columbia. Located at the Cariboo region of BC, you'll experience some of the most breathtaking plein air painting locations Western Canada has to offer.
We have the entire ranch to ourselves, so being repsonsible and socially distant are no problems. Where possible, each participant will have their own private accomodations.
The ranch is a remote, rustic retreat, with minimal creature comforts. Perfect for the adventurer artist, ready to get back to nature! Accomodations are beautiful, but rustic. It is a working ranch!
In the company of our Master Instructors you'll spend your days creating, painting and developing your skills, while painting en plein air. In the evenings, you'll have the opportunity to join your peers for a variety of fun socially distant social events or take the time to relax and explore your surroundings.

- 4 days of instruction with the chance to paint with each Master Instructor
- All evening social activities
- 3 meals and all snacks daily - for the duration of your stay either in a socially distant communal setting or delievered to your cabin if you prefer
