Have you ever found yourself wishing you could approach galleries and clients more confidently?
Or speak to your work and your practice without fumbling over the words?
Have you wanted to teach but aren't sure how to deliver content to a class?
Or been asked to speak at a conference or convention but the thought of projecting to a crowd made you decline an offer?
If you have, you aren't alone. Edward Hopper often said "If you could say it in words, there would be no reason to paint".
Painting confidently and presenting confidently are two different methods of communication. So although we are expressive and creative people by nature, articulating ourselves as artists can often be quite challenging.
As romantic as Hopper's sentiment is, not being able to communicate and present well can affect your acceptance into exhibitions, reception by clients and galleries and involvement in the greater arts community.
Join Rylan Oleksyn, founder of Public Speaking Vancouver as he shares with you tips and methods of how to speak one-one-one or in public and deliver content clearly and confidently.
During the class, you'll learn skills and techniques demonstrated by Rylan and put your newfound knowledge into action through a series of practical in-class exercises.Participants can expect to walk away with strategies for speaking confidently in a variety of settings for a variety of audiences.
