This is a fusion of cultures; Japanese, Canadian, and Chinese. Merging Japanese paper and paints with Chinese inks in gold, black and red in a western, yet zen-like abstract. This painting won 1st prize (The Ruth Yamada Award) from the Sumi-e Artists of Canada 2024 Annual Exhibition.
