Call for Submission

Painting on the Edge

This exhibition will display as a physical and online exhibition.

As of Monday 11th May, we have been given direction that galleries and museums will be able to resume some activities. As such, shipping and delivery to this exhibition will be optional.

All artworks must remain available for sale or they will be declined without refund.

If you decide not to deliver an artwork, you must notify us on acceptance.

If you submitted an artwork that is larger than 4ft wide, as was permitted we do not have space in the physical gallery to display it. So if your artwork is accepted, please do not deliver, it will display in the online gallery only.

All acceptances to this exhibition, regardless of if you can deliver or if your submitted piece is larger than 4ft wide, will retain your earned Signature Status point. You will also still be in the chance to win an award and be represented in the online galleries at and for potential sales.

About the 2020 Painting on the Edge Exhibition (POTE):

Painting on the Edge is an annual challenge for artists worldwide to push their boundaries, test their media and engage their audiences through dynamic subject matter, innovative media application and progressive stylistic approaches. Artists are encouraged to try something different in their practice or communicate deeper messages and emotions in their pieces.

This exhibition is generously supported by OPUS Art Supplies.

Juried by three professional artists who've been represented in the exhibition in the past, won awards for the exhibition, and/or who've demonstrated the spirit of the exhibition in their own body of work, artworks are juried online and successful pieces are juried in-person by the panel for cash prize awards as follows:

First Place: $2,000 CA

Second Place: $1,000 OPUS Art Supplies Gift Card

Third Place: $1,000 OPUS Art Supplies Gift Card

Fourth Place: $1,000 OPUS Art Supplies Gift Card
