2017 Jurors:

Leslie Gregory-Morgan, SFCA

Senior Signature FCA Member

“Leslie was born in France but grew up and spent most of her life in London, Ont. After attending York University and University of Western Ontario, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and spent the next 30 years raising a family and working in photography. In 2004, she and her husband moved to rural Qualicum Beach, B.C. where she resumed painting full time as well as teach and host various workshops. She is a senior signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and a juried member of the Society of Canadian Artists.

Jennifer Kostuik

Kostuik Gallery

“Established 1997 in Vancouver, Canada, the Jennifer Kostuik Gallery represents mid-career and established visual artists from Canada, the USA, Japan, Mexico, Australia and The Netherlands. A selection of artists explores minimalist themes and aesthetic approaches typically based on the influence of space and nature. Their dialogue with their surrounding environments, especially the invisible, creates portrayals of beauty through composition, color, detail of material, form and light. Across a variety of media and genres, the gallery provides the context for reading the artist’s individual perspectives.”

David Tycho

"David Tycho was born in Vancouver and graduated from UBC, where he studied painting under Gordon Smith. For the past 30 years, Tychos art has straddled the genres of abstraction and representation, at times more experimental and intuitive and at other times more reflective of his surroundings. His paintings are inspired by locations ranging from the Canadian wilderness to the streets of Tokyo. David has exhibited his work in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Seattle, Los Angeles, Brussels, Geneva, Singapore and Manila, and his paintings are collected worldwide".
