Description:
Light is central to all of my work, and here I explore how light refracts through glass and liquid. It sweeps along the surface of antique sheet music (Beethoven's Sonata #14 or "Moonlight Sonata") describing the age and texture of the paper, casting sinuous shadows that almost become objects themselves. Tiny prisms are visible on tattered antique sheet music, the black notes of repeated arpeggios create pattern and rhythm.
