Description:
The view from Stanley Glacier. This is part of a series in which I am exploring the use of cardboard and text. I am interested in the line and shape of text as a building block for a larger concept. Here I created the text, manipulating it's shape, size and angle to create depth and movement in the painting. I also used individual letters in a jumble for the rock pile up the side of the mountain slope. Water is seeping down the cliffs of the mountain on the left so I created drips representing tears for the melting glacier
