Worldscapes is a series of abstract works that translate the feeling of a place through layered colour, collage, and movement. Each piece begins with the many photographs I take while traveling—textures, patterns, and details that anchor the memory. The inspiration for the work was a picture I had taken of the statue of King José I in the Praça do Comércio in Lisbon. The palette reflects the vivid colours that explode from this city and the vibrancy of life that wrapped around us as we explored this beautiful city.
