Description:
With this painting I have sought harmony through the use of complementary colours balancing the orange shades of the llama’s coat with a bluish-grey background. Similarly, a balance of hard and soft edges are used within a consistent range of brushstrokes. The colour around the eye and nostrils ties in with the background to connect the image as a whole. Llamas are pack animals and as such require good balance. Their wool is non-itchy and breathable creating a comforting shell around the wearer.
