Art Avenue - Mail Out Team 2016_Art_Ave_Volunteers

The Federation of Canadian Artist's publication 'Art Avenue' is popular across the world! Mailing out is a huge task, but has also become something of a team sport for volunteers at the FCA! In this role you'll be working as a team to label and fill envelopes with copies of Art Avenue, while chatting with the team and enjoying light refreshments at our gallery location on Granville Island.

During the week we look for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to greet visitors and person the reception desk at our gallery location on Granville Island. Potential volunteers should have strong computer skills, a love of art and the desire to meet and mingle with those who come into the gallery.


Shifts run from 10 AM - 1 PM or 1PM - 4 PM

Monday - Tuesday.




Exhibition Installation Volunteers

3.30 PM - 5.30 PM Sundays


Each year the Federation of Canadian Artists hosts between 18 - 20 exhibitions of two dimensional artworks and we need your help hanging them!


Exhibition installation volunteers meet at the gallery at 3.30 PM on Sundays to install the exhibition. Tasks include patching walls, carrying and hanging paintings. Volunteers should be prepared to use hammers, carry heavier art pieces, climb ladders and be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to creating engaging visual displays. This role is ideal for art and art history students looking for practical gallery experience for your resume. Spacer

Each year the Federation of Canadian Artists hosts a variety of special events including opening receptions, family days, youth activities and fundraising events. 



Special Skills Volunteers

Remotely assist the FCA from your computer

Do you have the skills to help with copywriting, grant research, research, sponsorship acquisitions, or editing content for catalogues? People willing to remotely assist are always appreciated and contribute so much to the FCA.
