The Kerr jar is associated with and marks a historical context of a time and place in the Okanagan.This image speaks to the cultural identity of the interior of BC .this painting is about Preserving cultural identity as well as celebrating our Canadian identity and heritage. the fruit is placed in the jar to ensure the preserving of a specific time and place in Canadian history.
