It was a crisp, autumn day and the sky threatened to rain on a mountainside near Canmore, BC. The clouds parted; sunshine spilt through the leaves transforming them into brilliant suncatchers. The trees leaned, every branch reaching, in the direction of the light. The wind urged each tree and branch to sway and bend in synchronicity. I felt my body begin to mimic the movement of the forest and was tempted to lift my arms as branches when I noticed a subtle expression of boredom spread across the face of my hiking partner, so I took a picture instead.
