I observed this raven pair and they reminded me of any close couple who have been together a long time. They affectionately groomed and murmured to one another. Then went about foraging for food but staying close to each other, ever alert and curious, aware of my presence. A felt a brief moment of familiarity and connection and knew then I would make this painting echoing that sublime moment.
