The Hamsa Hand (the Hand of Miriam or the Hand of Fatima) is an ancient Middle-Eastern talisman that is believed to predate modern religions. It has become a popular good-luck talisman worldwide. It is a sacred and protective symbol in different cultures; it is also a symbol of blessing, peace, happiness and good fortune.
Original painting. The field surrounding the hand is painted in the sgraffito technique on metal foil and inspired by Middle-Eastern ornaments.
