Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, located on the west coast of Vancouver Island, is a place to be savored over many days. The rugged coastline, beautiful sandy beaches and quintessential piles of logs dumped haphazardly along the shoreline are accessible only by foot.
While on my way to a particularly lovely beach, I found myself dawdling along the moss-covered pathways which wove through the lush temperate rainforest. It seems, I thought, this journey is a destination in-and-of itself.
Don’t forget the bear bell.
