My perspective and observation as a female artist, has inspired me to create a series of portraits of women, painting beyond the human body and committing to building an understanding of the depth of souls of women. I work on a series of paintings of the women living around me or who I had met before, who appreciate simple beauty and have found or looking for the peace in their mind.
Daphne is a friend who I met few years ago in my journey to Amsterdam while I was travelling along 3 monthes in Europe. She set opposite with me on a train from antwerp to Amsterdam, in one of the summer afternoon. Those few hours, we had the same view from the window and we got in touch with eachothers by our convesations. Iike what I wote down in a note book, after a good bye with her in the stop station -- Meets and separations in life bring us carnival and lost, however in the journey of growth and gorgeous metamorphosis, when we facing the pity of past and anxiety of future, what we better carry out is "All we have is now"
