Description:
The Blind appears to be abstract but is actually a look at an unusual reality. A vitreous hemorrhage left me with a world full of strange shapes floating in a sea of red sand and I felt compelled to visually describe what I could see. With the canvas at arms length, I traced the objects as they floated inside my eye.
Surgery repaired my retina and a bubble of air was placed inside my eye. The bubble became part of the story and the only thing I was able to see clearly for 12 more days.
