Watercolour on paper

While travelling in rural British Columbia, I came across a group of deer that were heading toward the forest. The small herds stance relative to each other, depicting their own herd dynamic, is one of the elements I aimed to portray in this painting. The scenery was a sparse elegance, and I utilized a transparent watercolour to depict this. To help create the mood, I employed a limited palette, which allowed for this interpretation of this wildlife observation on paper.
