This man told me that the Littoral Zone is where the action is. He said, "It's where two worlds collide." In that intertidal expanse between the low and the high tide marks "you never know what will happen next." The biologist in him fuelled a passion for collecting and curating specimens for his saltwater aquariums. When I painted his portrait I wanted to show his interconnectedness to his environment.
