Jitney's were Ford motor cars used as taxis in Vancouver during the First World War. They were forced off the street in 1918 by the Province after lobbying by the streetcar monopoly, which was losing revenue. Many cars were suddenly on the market, with savvy salesmen to greet you as shown here!
