This painting was done last year with a palette knife to capture the feeling of June in my garden.I associate June with the green colour. The new leaves have reached their maturity by this month but they are still fresh before the heat of July. Daisies, irises and many other beautiful flowers are standing well against the green foliage in the garden. The strong diagonal composition of the painting is broken by vertical stems of irises. White colours of daisies and blue colours of irises bring calmness to this painting while broad strokes of a pallet knife with a thick amount of paint reinforce the feeling of freedom and anticipation of a new summer season.
