Calm waters reflect the distant snow capped Coastal mountains. The last of the light touches forested islands & bluffs among the deep fiords of Howe Sound. Sunlit tidal stones, grasses and remnants of the old mill pilings place the viewer on the rocky shore.
Impressionist acrylic treatment with stippled drybrush over thin layers of glaze – was inspired by a small study done on location. The original Plein Air study won Honorable Mention for the 2020 FCA Landscape exhibition.
