This mosaic indicates the consequences of believing that climate change is something that will happen in the future. The mosaic's centrepiece represents the polar regions, where once majestic glaciers now melt into ice flows; that now melt into the 5 major oceans that feed our rivers and lakes, including our own Great Lakes.

The melted ice causes more global warming and higher temperatures cause water to evaporate more quickly. As water evaporates it leads to drought, which then causes wildfires which ravage our flora and fauna and scorch the earth.

Materials include corroded metal including brake shields, washers, hex nuts, screws and nails, agate slices, quartz crystals, kyanite, asphalt pebbles, lava rock, slag, jasper beads, lava beads, smalti, stained glass, metal shavings, copper nails, aquarium gravel, coloured sand, fused glass, & concrete.
