This artwork comes from a moment I experienced during a car ride. As I looked out the window, the sleek, cold lines of modern buildings passed by rapidly, but for a split second, I imagined the warm, cozy village that might have once stood in their place. I wanted to capture the quick, dispersed feeling of that vision—the way the past and present seemed to overlap for just an instant. For me, this piece is about holding onto that momentary sense of memory and change, and sharing it so others can reflect on how cities evolve over time.
