Description:
I have come across many Hares while hiking through British Columbia. Although hard to see during the day, they are often encountered in hundreds during the warmer Fall months before winter sets in. Hares are not rabbits as they have distinctly different DNA. I once witnessed a very large Fisher chase and catch a Snowshoe Hare up near McLeod Lake, just north of Williams Lake.
