Title:
Untamed - Bobcat Alone Series II
Artist:
Susan Burnham Neilson
Size:
10" x 10"
Medium:
Oil on traditional chalk gesso with linen pavoloka on a circular cradled panel
Description:
Safely cared for at the Desert Museum, but somehow she is still wild. Every movement is beautiful, as she settles in on her favourite rocky ledge.
I started three studies of this 22 year old bobcat at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum when I spent a month there on an art residency. I watched her from outside her large "cat canyon" rocky habitat area, while she was settling in for a quiet afternoon on a favourite shady lookout ledge.
Custom circular floater frame - Black walnut -depth 1 5/16"
