This painting is ongoing series depicting a variety of trash and recyclables. Consumerism has corrupted the human mind, resulting in people being only concerned with themself. Generally, people are not too concerned with the result of their behavior. Consumerism and the ecosystem have an unavoidable and complex relationship with each other - when one is doing well, the other does not. When there is an increase in consumption of products, there will be an increased impact on our ecosystem. Hyper-realistic paintings requires an obsessive attention to detail, and in giving this attention to an object rendered in this style, the objects will arguably be beautified in a way that suggests value. Consumerism corrupts human perception of value.
