“Soulless 1” is apart of the Metamorphosis Collection that which the artist is currently working on. “Soulless 1” depicts a male and a female whose eyes are missing their pupils. Are you familiar with the saying, “the eyes are the windows to the soul”? But what if the eyes are missing? That means one would essentially be...? (You’ve guessed it right). With that said, the purpose of the piece is to highlight the common problem that the artist finds in relationships around his surroundings and through second hand experiences. The problem is that persons tend to feast on the beauty, strength and the aesthetics of a woman or the handsomeness, power and the confidence of a man, essentially their surface, without examine what’s beneath that surface. Rather than being intrigued by a facade, what we all should aspire to know is what story or intent is within the soul of a person.
