This technique aims to represent the subject among its surrounding as a holistic complete scene. While travelling throughout the Cariboo region, I was studying the shapes of historic gold rush and ranch buildings, which inspired in me the idea for this painting. The combination of an aged subject depicted with modern materials and style complements the theme of the subject’s holistic depiction.
