Size:

Description:
The interactive painting asks viewers to search for a fish. Where is the fish? Will you be able to find that fish? Once you've seen the fish, email hipolkarl@yahoo.com, for your answer.

This painting is responding to the BBC's "Our Planet - Coastal Seas" episode. The coral reefs exhibit an ethereal and enchanting beauty with their unearthly white appearance. However, this is a phenomenon called "Coral Bleaching," in which the organisms that supply nourishment and colour to the corals expel off caused by the temperature change inflicted by Climate Change! Influenced by this hot and timely issue, I want to create a piece that will encourage everyone to initiate a conversation, a reminder and a warning about the repercussions of Climate Change.

The artistic approach to the piece is also significant as it shows the vanishing state of the coral reefs through the continuous drips. The bodies of water all over the world have been tainted with various types of deadly pollutants too, and this is reflected through the toxic-green glazes on the painting.
