Settling ponds have been established throughout the Fort Hills lease to remove sediments from water prior to the release of the water back into natural water bodies. This is one example of how companies strictly follow environmental compliance and ethical energy development to ensure our children can also enjoy the wonderful Northern Alberta Landscape.
