Description:
The Hibernia GBS is located on the Grand Banks of Newfoundland and has been in operation for the past 20 years pumping approximately 150,000 barrels of oil per day. I created this painting to show the complexity and working conditions often encountered at the site 196 miles off the coast. I am from the island of Newfoundland and now residing in London, ON, so this was a memory jog for me. It took me approximately 5 months to finish.
