Description:
I explore routes, systems and structures in electronics providing reinterpretations of their visual qualities that in my work relate to the idea of data transference, fluidity, growth, time and impermanence, representing global connectedness, while reinterpreting and questioning electronic technology and its growing involvement in our lives and our global social development.
The visibly protruding shapes and circuit lines are made of sculpted paint, applied by hand and added to the canvas with impasto techniques I developed over time, creating a sensory engagement with paint, lines, volume and texture, pastes and structures, also designed to play with shadow and light.
