2024 Bloom Exhibition
About The 2024 Bloom Exhibition:
“Bloom” marks the arrival of spring to the Federation Gallery on Granville Island! Artists are encouraged to submit their most captivating artworks of plants and blooms to exhibit alongside living floral installations by a local Ikebana school of Japanese floral design. Successful pieces will have a clear focus on floral subject matter.

The Sogetsu Vancouver Branch was formalized in 1985 under the Directorship of Mrs. Kiyoko Boycott following her move from Tokyo to Vancouver. The Sogetsu Vancouver Branch has a growing membership of people who study, practice and find great pleasure in creating Ikebana.
The Vancouver Branch is dedicated to the advancement of Ikebana in our area, and the improvement of our members in Ikebana technique and expertise of Ikebana. Furthermore, we embrace and respect many other aspects of Japanese culture and aesthetics.
Sogetsu Vancouver Branch has general meetings four times a year, with each meeting including either a demonstration, workshop, container sale or guest speaker. Throughout the year SVB members participate in several exhibitions in the Greater Vancouver area, and these events are open to the public to attend to view the Ikebana on display.
