Description:
A rose is a stunningly beautiful flower and such an inspiration in literature. I was inspired by the following quotes:
“That which we call a rose / By any other name would smell as sweet.” from 1594 Act-II, Scene-II of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
"Rose is a rose is a rose” appears in Gertrude Stein’s 1913 poem called "Sacred Emily”.
“The rose is a rose / And was always a rose” from Robert Frost’s 1928 poem.
The rose in my story would be considered to be a Black Rose which is a dark shade of purple, maroon and red. The
